Maybe you’re walking on eggshells. Maybe everything turns into a power struggle. Maybe your child’s emotions feel too big to handle.
Maybe you’re holding it together all day, then losing it when the doors close.
You don’t need more advice.
You need support that helps you make sense of what’s happening, and shows you what to do next. I help parents create real change by working upstream.
We stop chasing behaviour and start changing the conditions around it.
if parenting feels intense at home right now,
you're not alone.
Most parents who find me aren’t confused.
They’re clear. This can’t keep happening.
You might be navigating:
-
explosive behaviour and meltdowns
-
anxiety and control seeking
-
sensory overwhelm and shutdowns
-
school refusal or constant battles around routines
-
sibling conflict that drains the whole house
-
neurodivergence, or the feeling that something deeper is going on
-
rage, burnout, guilt, and that heavy sense you’ve lost yourself
If you’ve tried books, podcasts, scripts, charts, consequences, all of it, and you still feel stuck, it’s not because you’re doing it wrong.
It’s because information is not the same as support.
What is a 'Wild Child'?
So rather than asking “How do I stop this behaviour?”
we start asking
“What is this behaviour telling us?”
For some children, that wild energy looks like curiosity, boldness, passion, and freedom.
For others, it comes out as big emotions, volatility, shutdowns, and behaviour that feels unpredictable.
Often, it is a nervous system trying to cope with a world that feels too much.
This work is about tuning in, not clamping down.
It’s about connection, not control.
In truth, we are all wild children at heart.
What changes things is being supported without being overridden.
When I work with parents, we focus on:
-
understanding what’s happening beneath behaviour
-
nervous system science, without it feeling clinical
-
your child’s sensory profile and what helps them regulate
-
boundaries rooted in values, not fear
-
communication that creates connection, not conflict
-
your own triggers and capacity, because that is where real change begins
Because we stop fighting the behaviour and change the conditions around it instead. And then the behaviour shifts as a natural consequence.
My suggestions often surprise people.
Choose the support that fits the season you’re in.
The Wild Child Parent Coach Podcast
This podcast is for parents who know a lot, care deeply, and still find parenting harder than they expected.
Through honest conversations and real stories, I explore the gap between knowing what to do and actually being able to do it when you’re exhausted, overwhelmed, or stretched thin.
It’s a space to slow down, reflect, and feel less alone.
the village
Being surrounded by advice is not the same as being supported.
The Village exists because parenting was never meant to be done alone.
It’s a calm membership for parents who want to make meaningful shifts without adding more to their mental load.
Inside The Village you’ll find:
-
guided conversations and live Q&A twice a month (day and evening options)
-
a monthly theme such as space, ease or connection
-
a calm Telegram space for support seven days a week
-
voice note guidance from me 3 to 4 days per week
-
practical tools and curated resources you can actually use
This isn’t about trying harder.
It’s about being held while you parent, so momentum can build naturally.

hi i'm fiona
I’ve spent the last two decades working with families, first as a teacher, deputy head, and headteacher, and now as a parent coach specialising in family systems, behaviour, and the beautifully intense children I call wild.
I was known for working with the children others found challenging.
And then my own life unravelled.
My son developed severe anxiety and meltdowns that lasted hours. Home stretched me far beyond my capacity.
That experience changed everything about how I understand parenting.
Because knowledge alone doesn’t create change. Support does.
