Reflections for parents
This space is for parents who want to pause, think, and make sense of what’s really going on in their family life.
You’ll find reflections, gentle guidance, and observations from my work with parents and children over many years. Not advice to follow perfectly, and not answers to rush through. Just words to help you notice patterns, feel less alone, and approach parenting with a little more clarity and compassion.

My Biggest Regret...
There are so many moments in motherhood where we're simultaneously desperate for something to change and heartbroken that it's changing. You can be desperate for them to sleep through the night, then miss the baby who needed you. You can be exhausted by school mornings, then suddenly realise they're walking into school without looking back. You can spend years thinking, “I can't wait until we're through this bit”, only to look back and realise you were waiting your way throug

We're no longer teaching kids WHAT to think...
I think one of the biggest shifts in parenting is that our job is becoming less about teaching our children WHAT to think and more about helping them learn HOW to think.

I remember the adults in my own life who made the biggest difference. My favourite teacher, for example: Mrs Cunningham. W

The long game of parenting isn’t glamorous… but it works
You know that feeling when you really want your child to do something - not just because it’s convenient, but because you know it’ll be good for them? And still… they refuse. They wobble. They dig in their heels and say no. It’s frustrating. Exhausting. Sometimes even embarrassing. And it brings up all sorts of questions: ❓ Should I push them? ❓ Am I being too soft? ❓ What if they never get there? This week’s podcast episode is a good one! I’m sharing the story of what it loo

Feeling Burnt Out? Here’s a Simple Way to Reset for Overwhelmed Parents
Parental burnout is everywhere right now. That place where you’re touched out, overstimulated, and utterly exhausted. Too overwhelmed to even start the endless to-do list. With Christmas holidays in full swing, I hear it all the time from overwhelmed parents: The noise never stops Decisions pile up: what to do, where to go Sibling fights, whining, big emotions everywhere That nagging feeling that you’re “getting it wrong” even when it’s not all bad Sound familiar?
